Costumes

We have selected various costumes to create a sense of professionalism. Firstly the nun will be dressed as a nun. We chose this character to fit in with the psychedelic codes and conventions of a rock video, to be humorous, surprising and random.

Using this costume will also create copious amounts of controversy. Nuns are seen as respectable, loyal and innocent women. Using a male in a nun suit will instantly indicate that this is not the case and we have a case where the ideology of a nun is changed.

All band members will be dressed in nun suits to create more enigmas to what is happening.

The other character known as guy will be dressed to fit a rocker/grunge stereotyped person. The image we re trying to create is long haired, slightly scruffy and casual. We do not want someone to be normal but also not someone who would be stereotyped as a ‘grunger’. The main point we will establish is that they are not a trend follower but will be what ever they want to be being them selves. This is because as a group this is the effect we want our video to have on people. For people to not attempt on being something there not for the sake of it but for being who they are. The clothes we chose were a black hoodie worn under a leather jacket, black jeans and longish hair. This expresses the image we wanted to portray.
